6Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips Operating Instructions Safety InstructionsInstallationInstructionsAbout ClimateKeeper2.™How it WorksThe new ClimateKeeper2 ™ is the industry’smost advanced refrigeration system, delivering optimum temperature andhumidity performance to keep foodgarden fresh longer and reduce freezerburn, while maintaining E star-level efficiency. The new ClimateKeeper2 system featurestwo evaporators—one for the refrigeratorand one for the freezer. This provides two separate cooling systemsfor the entire unit, and separates the airflowbetween the fresh food and freezer sectionsduring normal cooling operations. This ensures that the humidity levels in thefresh food section are significantly higherthan in a conventional system,* allowingfresh produce and other unsealed foods toretain their moisture content and freshnesslonger. Moisture sensitive foods such as freshfruit, salads, rice, etc., can now be stored onopen shelves without excessive moisture loss.Due to the higher humidity in the refrigerator, you may on occasion experience fog or smallamounts of moisture in the refrigeratorcompartment. This is normal and maycome and go as different food loadsand environmental conditions change.Wipe dry with a paper towel if desired. The separate airflow system minimizesthe mixing of air between the twocompartments, which reduces odortransfer to improve the taste of ice.The ClimateKeeper2 system also reducesthe number of defrosting cycles in the freezerevaporator, thereby reducing freezer burn.*Testing shows a higher level of humidity inthe Fresh Food section in ClimateKeeper2refrigerators versus conventional units.About CustomCool ™.
