Elements.)Lift and remove the left and right insulation2.spacers.Disconnect the touch board wire harness and3.remove the tape that holds the harness to theheat shield.Lift the insulation from the wire entry in the heat4.shield and tuck the touch board wire harnessunder the heat shield.5. On 36-in. models, remove the fourteen 1/4-in.hex-head screws, (5 on the front, 5 on the back,and 2 on each side) from the outside of theburner box. (On 30-in models, remove the 101/4-in. hex-head screws, (3 in the front, 3 in theback, and 2 on each side) from the outside ofthe burner box.)Insulation SpacersDisconnect Rail36-in. model shown7. Raise the rear of the heat shield approximately 3inches and disconnect the 2 ground wires fromthe bottom of the heat shield.6. Remove the 20 Phillips-head screws from thetop of the heat shield. Lift and remove the heat shield from the burnerbox.NoteThe generator modules are not secured to•the burner box. With the heat shield removed,generator modules can be accidentally movedout of position. To ensure proper alignment ofthe modules to the heat shield, it may be helpfulto note and mark the position of the generatormodules.If a generator module has shifted out of position,•it may be helpful to drive one corner screw andthen shift the generator module as necessary toalign the other holes.
