– 52 –Smoke Eliminator/Vent TubeThe oven is equipped with a smoke eliminator andan oven vent tube. The smoke eliminator and venttube are located near the right, rear, top corner ofthe oven cavity. Air vented from the oven cavity willpass through the catalyst and then enter the venttube to be exhausted from the vent located at thevent trim.To remove the smoke eliminator and oven venttube on PHS925:1. Remove the oven door. (See Oven Door Assembly.)2. Remove the two 1/4-in. hex-head screws andthe smoke eliminator from the ceiling of theoven cavity.Caution: To prevent damage to the control paneland cooktop, care should be taken when positioningthe cooktop on top of the range body.3. Lift the front of the cooktop panel (See CooktopAssembly, follow steps 1-6.), and place it on topof the range as shown.Smoke EliminatorNote: Insulation is wrapped around and under thevent tube.6. Grasp the vent tube and its insulation and lift itfrom the range.Caution:1. When installing the vent tube, make sure theinside of the vent tube is free of insulation.2. Upon reassembly, ensure displaced insulationaround the oven vent tube is returned to itsoriginal position.5. Remove the five 1/4-in. hex-head screws (3 at therear and 2 on top) that attach the rear vent to therange. Lift and remove the rear vent.Rear Vent4.
