The ground bus extends throughout the lineup withconnections to each breaker grounding contact and eachcable compartment ground terminal. All joints are madewith at least two M10 plated steel bolts per joint. Stationground connection points are located in each end section.Figure 6-22: Ground Bus Bar Bolt LocationsEquipment HeatersOptional equipment heaters may be supplied for indoorequipment. Each heater is rated 300 W at 240 Vac butapplied at half voltage (75 W for each heater element) forlong life. Four heaters are mounted in each section, twofront and two rear, for a total of 300 W per vertical section.Finish and PaintSwitchgear enclosure parts are protected afterpretreatment of the metal, with an electrostatically applied,baked-on polyester powder coat of Light Gray ANSI 61.• Dry Film Thickness- Between 2.0-4.0 MILS• 60 in-lbs direct impact resistanceUnit NameplatesEach unit door is furnished with a nameplate specifyingratings of the section. It provides a convenient means to access thebreaker trip and close circuits during maintenance andinspection procedures. The Test Cabinet contains trip andclose pushbuttons, on/off switch, control power fuses anda 20 ft. secondary coupler for connection to the SecoVacVB2+ breaker.Figure 6-23: SecoVac Test BoxBreaker Racking MechanismAn optional remote racking mechanism installed at thefactory as a part of the SecoGear, can use a motor forracking the breaker in and out of the compartment. Themaximum torque applied is 28 Nm during the vacuumcircuit breaker racking.Figure 6-24: Breaker Racking MechanismGround and Test DeviceGE offers a manually operated Ground and Test Device foruse in SecoGear switchgear. See SECTION 7. “Ground andTest Device” for a complete description.
