Your Touch Control PanelThe Touch Control Panel allowsyou to set the oven controlselectronically with the touch of afinger. It’s designed to be easy touse and understand.When You Plug in the OvenThe displtiy panel displays five 8’s,18 POWER and all of the ovenfunctions. After 15 seconds, alllights disappear and “RESET”appears in the upper portion. Touchthe CLEAWOFF pad, set the Clockand oven is ready for use.If power is disrupted at any time,the above sequence recurs, and youmust reset CLOCK after touchingthe CLEAR/OFF pad.1. DISPLAY. Displays time ofday, time or temperature duringcooking functions, power levelbeing used, cooking mode andinstructions.2. TIME COOK I & 11.Microwave for a selected amountof time using automatic powerlevel 10 (High).3. TIME DEFROST. Gentlethawing at automatic power level 3(Low).4. NUMBER PADS. Touchthese pads to enter cooking time,defrosting time, time of day,temperature or power level.5. CLOCK. Touch this pad to entertime of day or check time of daywhile microwaving. To set clock,first touch CLOCK pad and thenenter time of day. For example, iftime is 1 :30, touch number pads 1,3 and () and “ I :30’” will appear indisplay. Then touch START pad.To reset or change time, simplyrepeat this process.6. POWER LEVEL. Touch thispad before entering tinother powerlevel number if you want to changefrom automatic power level 10(High) for cooking or power level3 (Low) for defrosting.7. AUTO START. Ai]ows yOUto program your oven to begincooking at a selected time ofday—up to a 12-hour delay.6TIME COOK TIME AUTOI & o OEFROST OEFROST~14 A ‘h’ A LrVENT FAN LIGHT+mm mHE\8. VENT FAN. Press HI, LOor OFF for the different fan speeds.9. AUTO DEFROST. Touch thispad and enter food weight. Theoven automatically sets powerlevels and defrosting time.10. MIN/SEC TIMER. Thisfeature uses no microwave energy.It functions as either a kitchentimer, as a holding period afterdefrost or as a delay timer beforetime cooking.11. START. After all selectionsare made, touch this pad to startthe oven.12. CLEAWOFF. When touched,it shuts off the oven and erases allsettings (except time of day).13. LIGHT. Touch desired pad toilluminate counter or to turn onnight light.AUTOMATIC FANFEATURECooking appliances installedunder the oven may, under someheavy usage conditions, causetemperatures high enough tooverheat some internal parts of themicrowave oven.To prevent overheating from takingplace, the exhaust fan is designedto automatically turn on at a lowspeed if excessive temperaturesoccur. Should this happen, thefan cannot be manually turned off,but it will automatically turnoff when the internal parts havecooled. The fan may stay on up toapproximately 30 minutes after therange and microwave oven controlshave been turned off.
