Your Touch Control Wnel —The Touch Control Panel allows you to set the ovencontrols electronically with the touch of a finger. It’sdesigned to be easy to use and understand.When You Plug in the OvenThe display panel displays five 8’s, 18 POWER and all ofthe oven functions. After 15 seconds, all lights disappearand “RESET” appears in the upper portion. Touch theCLEAR/OFF pad, set the CLOCK and oven is readyfor use.If power is disrupted at any time, the above sequencerecurs, and you must reset CLOCK after touching theCLEAR/OFF pad.“PRObE” Appears on the Displayl Probe has been forgotten when Auto Roast or TempCook/Hold function is being used.l Probe is not securely seated in oven wall receptacle.1. DISPLAY. Displays time of day, time or temperatureduring cooking functions, power level being used,cooking mode and instructions.2. TIME COOK I & II. Microwave for a preset amountof time using automatic power level 10. (If desired, youmay change power level after entering cooking time. Seepage 10.)3. TIME DEFROST. Gentle thawing at automatic powerlevel 3 (Low). (If desired, you may change power levelafter entering defrosting time. See page 9.)4. CLOCK. Touch this pad to enter time of day or checktime of day while microwaving. To set clock, first touchCLOCK pad and then enter time of day. For example, iftime is 1:30, touch number pads 1, 3 and O and “1:30”will appear in display. Then touch START pad. To resetor change time, simply repeat above process.5. AUTO START. Allows you to program your oven tobegin cooking at a preset time of day—up to a 12-hourdelay. (See page 11.)& CLEAR/OFF. When touched, it shuts off the ovenand erases all settings (except time of day).7. AUTO ROAST. Insert probe, touch this pad and thennumber pad for desired code number to slow-cook ortemperature cook meat with automatic preset program.(See pages 12 and 13.)8. EXHAUST FAN. Press HI, LO or OFF for thedifferent fan speeds.9. TEMP COOK/HOLD. Use the temperature probe tocook by using a preset temperature. Once food reachespreset temperature, oven switches to HOLD setting andmaintains that temperature until you touch theCLEAR/OFF pad. (See page 11.)10. MIN/SEC TIMER. This feature uses no microwaveenergy. It functions as either a kitchen timer, as a holdingperiod after defrost or as a delay timer before time ortemperature cooking. (See page 18.)U. MIN. Use with number pads to enter whole minutes.For example, for 4 minutes touch 4 and MIN.U. POWER LEVEL. Touch this pad before enteringanother power level number if you want to change fromautomatic power level 10 (High) for cooking or powerlevel 3 (Low) for defrosting.U. NUMBER PADS. Touch these pads to enter cookingtime, defrosting time, time of day, temperature, powerlevel, Auto Codes or food weights for Auto Defrost.14. START. After all selections are made, touch this padto start the oven. —15. AUTO DEFROST. Touch this pad and food weight.The oven automatically sets power levels and defrostingtime. (See page 14.)16. LIGHT. Touch desired pad to illuminate counter orto turn on night light.AUTOMATIC FN FEAT~Cooking appliances installed under the oven may,under some heavy usage conditions, cause temperatureshigh enough to overheat some internal parts of themicrowave oven.To prevent overheating from taking place, the exhaustfan is designed to automatically turn on at a low speed ifexcessive temperatures occur. Should this happen, the fancan not be manually turned off, but it will automaticallyturn off when the internal parts have cooled. The fan maystay on up to approximately 30 minutes after the rangeand microwave oven controls have been turned off.6
