Dryer control paneland finishes may be damaged by some laundrypretreatment soil and stain remover products.Apply these products away from the dryer. Thefabric may then be washed and dried normally.Damage to your dryer caused by these products isnot covered by your warranty.The Lint Screen: Clean the lint screen before eachuse. Lint build-up in the screen restricts air flow,which causes longer drying times. The screen islocated at the bottom of the door opening. Removeby pulling straight up. Remove the lint and replacethe screen.A waxy build-up may form on the lint screen fromusing dryer-added fabric softener sheets. To removethis build-up, wash the lint screen in warm, soapywater. Dry thoroughly and replace. Do not operatethe dryer without the lint screen in place.The Exhaust Duct: Inspect and clean the exhaustducting at least once a year to prevent clogging. Apartially clogged exhaust can lengthen the dryingtime.Follow these steps:Turn off electrical supply by disconnecting theplug from the wall socket.Disconnect the duct from the dryer.Vacuum the duct with the hose attachment andreconnect the duct.The Exhaust Hood: Check with a mirror that the insideflaps of the hood move freely when operating. Makesure that there is not wildlife (birds, insects, etc.)nesting inside the duct or hood.321
