Followdetails in Installation Instructions.—Locate where the temperature is above 50°F.(10°C.) for satisfactory operation of theappliance control system. Do not install orstore the appliance where it will be exposed tothe weather.—Connect to a properly rated, protectedand sized power supply circuit to avoidelectrical overload.—Exhausting to the outside is STRONGLYRECOMMENDED to prevent large amountsof moisture and lint from being blown into theroom. Carefully follow the details in theInstallation Instructions. If your appliance is notvented to the outside, see special instructions inCare and Cleaning section. If this appliance has agas dryer, it must be exhausted outside.• Do not repair or replace anypart of the appliance or attemptany servicing unless specificallyrecommended in this Use and Care Book orin published user-repair instructions that youunderstand and have the skills to carry out.• Turn off water faucets when the washer is notin use to relieve pressure on hoses and valves,and to minimize leakage if a hose or valve shouldbreak or rupture.• When disconnecting this appliancepull by the plug rather than the cordto avoid damage to the cord or junctionof cord and plug. Also, some rubber materials,when heated, can under certain circumstancesproduce fire by spontaneous combustion.• Do not store items that may burn or melt(such as clothing, paper material, plasticsor plastic containers, etc.) on top of the applianceduring operation.• Garments labeled “Dry Away from Heat”(such as life jackets containing Kapok)must not be put in your dryer.(continued next page)3
