23Cleaning and maintenanceWith thorough care and cleaning your appliance willretain its looks and remain in good order. We willexplain here how you should care for and clean yourappliance correctly.m Risk of burns!The appliance becomes very hot. Never touch theinterior surfaces of the cooking compartment or theheating elements. Always allow the appliance to cooldown. Keep children at a safe distance.m Risk of electric shock!Do not use any high-pressure cleaners or steamcleaners, which can result in an electric shock.m Risk of injury!Scratched glass in the appliance door may developinto a crack. Do not use a glass scraper, sharp orabrasive cleaning aids or detergents.Cleaning agentsPay attention to the information in the table to avoiddamaging the various surfaces by incorrect cleaningagents.Do not use▯ harsh or abrasive cleaning agents▯ metal or glass scrapers to clean the glass on theappliance door▯ metal or glass scrapers to clean the door seal▯ hard abrasive pads or cleaning spongesThoroughly rinse out new sponge cloths before use.Microfibre clothThe honeycomb microfibre cloth is particularlysuitable for cleaning sensitive surfaces such as glass,glass ceramic, stainless steel or aluminium (productno. 460770, also available from our online eShop). Itremoves liquid and greasy deposits in one go.Area Cleaning agentDoor panels Clean with a a soft cloth or a microfibercloth. Do not use any glass scrapers.Display Wipe off with a microfiber cloth and aslightly moistened cloth. Do not wipe itoff wet.Stainless steel Hot soapy water: clean with a dishclothand dry with a soft cloth. Removescale, grease, starch and protein stainsimmediately. Corrosion can form undersuch stains. Special stainless steelcleaners are available from after-salesservice or specialist dealers.Aluminium Clean with a mild window cleaningagent. With a window cleaning cloth ora lint-free microfiber cloth, wipe hori-zontally over surfaces without applyingpressure.Appliance interior Hot soapy water:clean with a dishcloth and dry with asoft cloth.Heavily soiledoven interiorOven cleaner gel (order number463582 from after-sales service or inthe online shop).Please note:▯ Avoid contact with the door seal!▯ Allow it to act for nor more than12 hours▯ Do not use on hot surfaces.▯ Rinse thoroughly with water.▯ Pay attention to manufacturers'specifications.Glass cover ofoven interior lampHot soapy water: clean with a dish-cloth.Door sealDo not remove!Hot soapy water: clean with a dish-cloth.
