34Preserving▯ In the steam oven, you can preserve fruit andvegetables without much effort.▯ Preserve food which is as fresh as possible.When foods are stored for a relatively longperiod, their vitamin content is reduced and theyferment and spoil more easily.▯ Use only fruit and vegetables that are in perfectstate.▯ The steam oven is not suitable for preservingmeat.▯ Check and thoroughly clean preserving jars,rubber rings, clamps and springs.▯ Disinfect rinsed jars before preserving in yoursteam oven at 100 °C and 100% humidity for 20-25 minutes.▯ Place the jars in the perforated cookingcontainer. They must not be in contact with eachother.▯ After the specified cooking time, open theappliance door. Do not remove the preserving jarsfrom the appliance until they have completelycooled down.Extracting juice (soft fruit)▯ You can effortlessly and cleanly extract berryjuice in the steam oven.▯ Place the berries in the perforated cookingcontainer and slide it into the third level frombelow.
