G&G GmbH | Unpacking, Setup and Commissioning 101. Take the balance and supplied accessories (a feeder, pan elements) out of the box.2. Place the balance on a stable ground not affected by mechanical vibrations and airflows.3. Level the balance with foot screws so that the air bubble in water-level is in the middle.4. Plug the adapter to the power socket at the back of the balance.5. Connect the power adapter to an AC220V ± 10%, 50Hz/60Hz outlet.Scope of delivery: Balance PVC Wind protection (for E150Y, E300Y, E600Y, E1200Y, E300YA, E600YA and E1200YA available) Glass Wind protection (for E150Y-C, E300Y-C, E600Y-C, E1200Y-C, E100YB-C und E200YB-C available) Weighing pan AC adapter Operating Instructions6.3 General power supplyIf the balance is used in a laboratory, it can be powered by the external mains adapter (included). In casethe balance is used as a mobile weighing instrument, it can be powered by AA batteries (not included) orinternal accumulator (included). The accumulator is charged via the delivered adapter. To extant work time of accumulators (battery), it is possible to turn off display’s backlight and the balanceautomatically. The settings of “Power Save” operation see chap. 9.3 and chap. 11.Please only use the original supplied mains adapter. Otherwise there is a risk that the Balance beimpaired. If the balance is not used for a long time, remove the battery/accumulator and store them separately.Leaking battery liquid could damage the balance.6.3.1 Battery power supplyThe balances can be supply from mains power witch is delivered with the balance. It is also possible to usenormal AA batteries.6.3.2 Mains connection during rechargeable battery operationWhen the balance is connected with the mains adapter, the battery power will be disconnectedautomatically. Therefore, there is no battery charging function under the battery power supply.6.3.3 Battery exchangeRemove the battery compartment cover and insert six batteries (AA size) into the battery compartment, taking extreme care that the polarities plus (+) and minus (-) is observed.6.4 Initial CommissioningIn order to obtain exact results with the electronic balances, your balance must have reached theoperating temperature (warming up time 30 min.). During this warming up time the balance must beconnected to the power supply (mains, accumulator or battery). The accuracy of the balance depends on the local acceleration of gravity. Please read the information carefully in chap. “Adjustment”.6.5 AdjustmentAs the acceleration value due to gravity is not the same at every location on earth, each balance must becoordinated - in compliance with the underlying physical weighing principle - to the existing acceleration
