A cook cycle starts and the upper platenlowers if the product selected is clamshell recipe.4 To cancel a cook cycle at anytime press the greenCANCEL/RAISE PLATEN BUTTON and the upper platenwill rise if the product recipe selected is clamshell recipe.5. During a cook cycle, the display shows the product recipename in the first line and the remaining cook time countdown in the second line.6 When the cook timer reaches one, (1), second remaininga pre-time-out alarm sounds alerting the operator.7 When the cooking time has been completed the platenraises automatically. On the controller the “PRODUCTNAME” and the word “REMOVE” will be displayed and anaudible alert will sound.8. Pressing the green CANCEL/RAISE PLATEN BUTTON stopsthe audible alert and the unit will revert back to IDLEmode.To Cook in Flat Grill Mode:1. To start a cook cycle select a product recipe by using theproduct keys (1 through 9) or by using the UP/DOWNkeys or to select a product recipe.The display alternately blinks the recipe and the wordSELECTED 2 times then the recipe will be displayedcontinuously.2. Ensure that the flexible gas hose is connected to the grilland the power cord is plugged into the receptacles.2. Turn the main power switch ON and allow the controlsto go through the power-up self-check. Once the controlpanel displays the word “OFF” the unit is ready to beginthe heating process.3. Press . The control will automatically initiate theheating cycle. The burner will ignite and heat until thetemperature specified by the menu item has beenobtained.If ignition of the burner does not occur on the first trial, thebottom indicator light will flash amber. If the burner(s) donot light within four trials for ignition, the control will displaya flashing warning, “IGNITION ERROR.” The flashing amberlight will turn to solid red and an audible alarm will sound. Ifthis occurs, turn the main power switch off, wait 5 minutes,and then repeat steps 2 and 3. If after 2nd try and the controlstill produces the IGNITION ERROR refer to Ignition failure inTECHNICAL TROUBLE SHOOTING section.Shut Down Instructions1. To shut down the unit at any time, switch the main powerswitch to the off (non-lit) position.2. For extended shut down periods, switch the main powerswitch to the off position, disconnect the unit from thegas supply line and unplug electrical connections.To Cook in Two-Sided Mode:1.
