Detailedmaps can loaded from map data CD’s using the MapInstall feature asexplained on page 49 of this guide.There two options: North Up and Track Up. North Up orients themap like a paper map, while Track Up orients the map in the direc-tion of travel. As you travel to the edge of the display, the map moves(redraws) to constantly show your current location. When using “TrackUp”, the North arrow indicates the map orientation.When the “Pan Map with Stylus” mode is selected, draggingthe stylus across the screen causes the map to pan with the movementof the stylus.Tapping the stylus on the map places a map pointer on any selectedlocation on the map. If that location is supported by detailed mapping dataa description will display, briefly. Any point on the map can be saved as awaypoint by tapping the Waypoint Marker Flag in the map toolbar.The map color can automatically compensate for the difference inday and night lighting conditions. See QueMap preferences on page 11.The map scale can be changed to show more map area with lessdetail or more map detail with less area. Rotating the Thumb Wheelon the side of the iQue™ handheld up or down or pressing the Up andDown keys on the front of the unit increases or decreases the scale insingle increments. To move to a specific scale, use the Map Scale Selec-tor mode .
