Rotate the small FMS knob to select GMU software.7. Press the LOAD softkey.8. Press the ENT key at the “BEGIN FILE UPLOAD?” prompt.9. Confirm update completion and press the ENT key.10. Highlight the appropriate full configuration in the FILE field.CAUTIONLoading the wrong software into GIA63/63W units may cause an inoperable condition thatis not covered by warranty. Refer to Section 4.3 of this manual to identify which type of GIA63 (WAAS or Non-WAAS) is installed in the aircraft, and how to choose the correct WAAS orNon-WAAS software file. Loading the incorrect software may make the GIA 63 or GIA 63Winoperable and necessitate returning the unit to Garmin for non-warranty repair. No warningappears if the wrong software is selected.
