FliteCharts is disabled 180 days after theexpiration date and is no longer available for viewing upon reaching the disabledate.SafeTaxi® (Optional)SafeTaxi is an enhanced feature that gives greater map detail when zoomingin on airports at close range. The airport display on the map reveals runwayswith numbers, taxiways with identifying letters/numbers, and airport landmarksincluding ramps, buildings, control towers, and other prominent features.Resolution is greater at lower map ranges. When the aircraft location is within thescreen boundary, including within SafeTaxi ranges, an airplane symbol is shownon the navigation map views for enhanced positional awareness. This databaseis updated on a 56-day cycle.ChartView™ (Optional with Enablement Card)ChartView resembles the paper version of Jeppesen terminal procedures charts.The charts are displayed in full color with high resolution. The MFD depictionshows the aircraft position on the moving map in the plan view of approachcharts and on airport diagrams.The ChartView database is updated on a 14-day cycle. ChartView is disabled70 days after the expiration date and is no longer available for viewing uponreaching the disable date.NOTE: Do not use SafeTaxi or ChartView functions as a basis forground maneuvering. SafeTaxi and ChartView functions have notbeen qualified to be used as an Airport Moving Map Display (AMMD).SafeTaxi and ChartView are intended to improve pilot situationalawareness during ground operations and should only be used by thefl ight crew to orient themselves on the airport surface.
