G900X/G950 Installation and Maintenance Manual – 3rd Party Interfaces Page 14-15190-00719-00 Revision D14.2 LRU’s14.2.1 Avidyne TAS 600The Avidyne TAS 600 is an active traffic system that interfaces with the following G900X/G950 LRUs.• GIA 63W via two ARINC 429 channels and remote mute lines.• GMA 1347 via unswitched audio input• GTX 33 via suppression lineIf the Avidyne TAS 600 is installed, TAS information will be available on the traffic map page instead ofthe standard GTX 33 TIS information. Please see the manufacturer’s documentation for additional detailson the Avidyne TAS 600 system.14.2.2 Artex ELT 406-NThe Artex ELT model 406-N interfaces with the GIA 63W via an ARINC 429 channel. The Artex ELTreceives latitude/longitude information from the GIA 63W. The ELT automatically activates during acrash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. Every 50 seconds the 406.028MHz transmitter turns on for 520 milliseconds broadcasting latitude/longitude position informationreceived from the GIA 63W for search and rescue operations. Please see the manufacturer’sdocumentation for additional details.14.2.3 CO GuardianThe CO Guardian Aero 353R (only 353P-201 and 353N-201 are supported) and 452R (all 452R modelsare supported) remote models interface with the GIA 63W via a RS-232 channel. The CO Guardian unitwill annunciate if carbon monoxide contamination reaches a concentration between 0.005 and 0.007percent by volume. This annunciation should occur within a maximum of 5 minutes and will bedisplayed on the PFD. An alert will also be displayed on the PFD if the CO Guardian encounters aproblem which requires service or if there is a loss of communication with the unit.
