Highway PageThe GPS 48’s Highway Page provides graphic steeringguidance to a destination waypoint, with emphasis onthe straight-line desired course, the distance and direc-tion you are off course.As you head toward your destination, the middle ofthe screen provides visual guidance to your waypoint ona moving graphic “highway.”Your present position is represented by the diamondin the center of the CDI scale. The line down the middleof the highway represents your desired track. As younavigate toward a waypoint, the highway will actuallymove—indicating the direction you’re off course—rela-tive to the position diamond on the CDI scale. To stay oncourse, simply steer in toward the center of the highway.To select the Compass Page1. From the Highway Page, press E twice.The Compass Page will now become the displayednavigation page. This page provides a directional pointerto your destination, by using a rotating compass displayto show direction of travel. It provides better steeringguidance at slower speeds with many directionalchanges.Cancelling a GOTOIf you decide to stop navigating to the active way-point, all you have to do is cancel the GOTO.To cancel an active GOTO:1. Press the G key.2.
