44ReferenceUsing a GotoInformation PageUsing a Goto to Navigate to a DestinationThe Goto function allows you to create a direct route toa destination, (waypoint, city, or point of interest). Onceyou have accessed the Information Page for an item, usethe Goto button at the bottom of the page to initiate travelto a map item using the Map and Navigation Pages forguidance.To activate a Goto:1. Use the Find Menu to access the Information Page forany desired destination and use the CLICK STICK tohighlight the Goto button.2. Press in on the CLICK STICK to start navigation.3. Observe the Navigation Page, it will display the name ofyour destination, the distance from your current location,and a Bearing Pointer indicating the direction you shouldtravel. The time require to reach your destination willdisplay when you begin to travel and establish a pre-dicted rate of movement. The Data Fields at the bottomof the page will display information relative to your travelas appropriate for the type of data selected to appearin those fi elds.4. Use the PAGE button or Main Page Menu to accessthe Map Page and observe your movements and a darkline indicating the direct path from your current locationto your destination.5. Use the Bearing Pointer on the Navigation Page to main-tain travel in the right direction and observe distance andtime information to monitor your progress.6. When you are close to your destination, an “Arriving atDestination” message will appear. If you move pastthe destination the Bearing Pointer will reverse and thedistance display will begin to increase.7. To stop navigating, highlight the on-screen Options Menubutton at the top of the Navigation or Map Page andpress in on the CLICK STICK.
