Refer to the cleaning instructions in the appendix.1 Align the charger posts with the contacts on the back of thedevice, and press the charger until it clicks.2 Plug the USB cable into a USB port on your computer.3 Charge the device completely.Tips for Charging Your Device• Connect the charger securely to the device to charge it usingthe USB cable (Charging the Device, page 8).You can charge the device by plugging the USB cable into aGarmin approved AC adapter with a standard wall outlet or aUSB port on your computer. Charging a fully depleted batterytakes about 60 to 90 minutes.• Remove the charger from the device after the battery chargelevel icon is full and stops flashing.• View the remaining battery power on the deviceinformation screen (Viewing Device Information, page 7).Using the Device in Charging ModeYou can interact with the device while charging it with yourcomputer. For example, you can use Bluetooth connectedfeatures or customize device settings.1 Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable.2 Select to exit USB mass storage mode.Device CareNOTICEAvoid extreme shock and harsh treatment, because it candegrade the life of the product.Avoid pressing the keys under water.Do not use a sharp object to clean the device.Never use a hard or sharp object to operate the touchscreen, ordamage may result.Avoid chemical cleaners, solvents, and insect repellents that candamage plastic components and finishes.Thoroughly rinse the device with fresh water after exposure tochlorine, salt water, sunscreen, cosmetics, alcohol, or otherharsh chemicals.
