USE AND MAINTENANCE ENGLISH57cod. G19502563SELECTOR ADJUSTMENTWhen the indicator (1 Fig. 20) is moved, it commands a cursor (2Fig. 20), which slightly touches the plate near the holes, causingthe excess seeds to fall. The selector is adjusted at each seedand plate change, towards the lower numbers for small seeds(Fig. 20) and viceversa for big seeds (Fig. 21).IMPORTANT: The selector does not adjust the air flow in thedistributor.ANTI-OVERFLOW PLATE ADJUSTMENTThe anti-overflow plate (1 Fig. 22) can be adjusted to 3 positionsand defines the width of the seed inlet gap (2 Fig. 22), so thatthese cannot flow out of the distributor due to excessive feeding.Adjustment is particularly needed when the ground slopes steeplyor when working with small seeds. In this case, it might be necessary to replace the standard platewith a special one to be used exclusively with small seeds.Spare part order code: 22270133.3.6.2 VACUUM PUMPThe aspirator (Fig. 23) creates a vacuum inside the distributors, sothat the seeds are aspirated onto the holes in the plate. The tensioningand good condition of the belt are therefore of vital importance toensure the good for the good operation of the aspirator and, hence, the success of the sowing. The belt is correctly tensioned when itdoes not yield under the pressure of a hand.WARNINGMake sure that the universal joint is disconnected from thepower take-off before carrying out the following operations:Belt checking procedure:- Remove the protective housing- Loosen the 4 screws (1, Fig. 23).- Loosen the nut (2, Fig. 23).- If worn, replace the belt (4, Fig. 23).- Tension the belt by tightening the screws (3, Fig. 23).- Tighten the bolts loosened before and close the casing.VacuometerThe vacuometer (5, Fig. 23) a the vacuum measuring device. Theone supplied shows aspiration values ranging from -0 to -100mbar. The average approximate aspiration values for large seedsare: 60 to -70 mbar for small seeds: -40 to -50 mbar.Comply with the number of rpm recommended for the powertake-off. When necessary, remove the glass of the vacuometerto carry out a cleaning operation with a gentle jet of air or acloth. If it is necessary to reset the indicator of the vacuumgauge, remove the glass cover and use a screwdriver to takeout the screw as shown in Figure 24.fig. 22fig. 211213513511fig. 201122A B-50-60-70-80-90-100 0-10-20-30-40Mbar31245-60-80-100 0-20-40mbarfig. 23fig. 24
