To fine tune a CUE POINT, pause play at the memorized CUE POINT(the cue LED will glow and the PLAY/PAUSE LED will blink), then usethe JOG WHEEL (10) or SEARCH (9) dial to scan frame by frame (1/d75th of a second) to where you want play to begin (the CUE LED willblink while you scan). Press the PLAY/PAUSE (6) button to save thenew CUE POINT.NOTE: DURING FINE TUNING THERE WILL BE A STUTTER EFFECT (TO HELP YOU FIND THEBEAT). THE STUTTERING EFFECT WILL END WHEN YOU PRESS THE PLAY/PAUSE (6)BUTTON TO SAVE THE CUE POINT.ROBO START INSTRUCTIONS:IN SINGLE-AUTO CUE MODE:Use ROBO START (1) in AUTO CUE SINGLE mode to alternate playbetween two CD-1800X CD players (one track from one side,then one from the other). In AUTO CUE SINGLE mode play startsimmediately with no blank or “dead” space. ROBO START causes oneside of the CD player to play when the other side is paused.1. Engage AUTO CUE SINGLE mode with the AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS BUTTON (18).2. Press the ROBO START BUTTON (21) to activate ROBO START. Playwill alternate between the two CD players. At the end of a track, theplaying side pauses and the other CD deck plays a track. At the end ofthis track, the playing side pauses and the first CD deck resumes play.IN CONTINUOUS MODE OR DURING NORMAL PLAY:If you use ROBOSTART without AUTO CUE SINGLE mode(in CONTINUOUS mode or during normal play), play will notalternate automatically. Pressing pause on the playing side willcause the other side to play.1. During normal play, set a cue point on the other side of the CD player.2. Press the ROBO START (21) button to activate ROBO START (thebutton will blink).3. Press PLAY/PAUSE (6) button on the playing side to begin play fromthe cue point on the other side.NOTE: PAUSING THE PLAYING SIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRACK WILL CAUSE THE OTHERSIDE TO PLAY. WHEN THAT TRACK ENDS, PLAY WILL BEGIN FROM THE MIDDLE OF THETRACK WHERE PLAY WAS PAUSED.TROUBLE SHOOTING:• If the disk will not play, check to see if the disc was loaded correctly(label side up). Also check the disc for excessive dirt, scratches, etc.• If the disc turns but there is no sound, check the cable connections. Ifthey are okay, check your amplifier or receiver.• If the CD skips, check the CD for dirt or scratches. Do not assume thatthe CD player is defective. Many CDs are recorded out of spec and willskip on most or all CD players. Before sending the unit in for repair, tryplaying a CD that you are sure plays properly.In the U.S.A., if you have any problems with this unit, call 1-732-738-9003 forcustomer service.
