3 - 50 S-60 • S-65 • S-60 HC Part No. 77828February 2012Section 3 • Scheduled Maintenance ProceduresD-2Check the Turntable RotationBearing BoltsNote: Genie specifications require that thisprocedure be performed every 1000 hours orannually, whichever comes first.Maintaining proper torque on the turntable bearingbolts is essential to safe machine operation.Improper bolt torque could result in an unsafeoperating condition and component damage.1 Raise the boom and place a safety chock on thelift cylinder rod. Carefully lower the boom ontothe lift cylinder safety chock.Crushing hazard. Keep handsaway from cylinders and all movingparts when lowering the boom.Note: The lift cylinder safety chock is availablethrough Genie(Genie part number 75097).2 Turn the engine off.3 Be sure that each turntable mounting bolt istorqued in sequence to specifications. Refer toSection 2,Specifications.Bolt torque sequence4 Start the engine form the ground controls.5 Raise the boom and remove the safety chock.6 Lower the boom to the stowed position.7 Remove drive chassis covers from both thesteer end and the non-steer end of the machine.8 Check to ensure that each lower bearingmounting bolt under the drive chassis is torquedin sequence to specifications.
