4-3Configuration RestorationThe configuration restoration function allows you to upload theconfiguration file with the extension of .cfg to the device in use for thenext system boot.Select System Management > Configuration from the navigationtree and click the Restore tab to enter the page shown in Figure 4-4.Figure 4-4 Restore the configuration filez Click Browse… and specify the configuration file with theextension of .cfg to be uploaded from the pop-up dialog box.Then click OK to start uploading the configuration file.z Click Browse… and specify the configuration file with theextension of .xml to be uploaded from the pop-up dialog box.Then click OK to start uploading the configuration file.Backup & Restoration Through USB InterfaceThe files needed in device running, such as application files andconfiguration files, are stored in the storage medium of the device. Tofacilitate management of the files on the device, the device providesthe fast backup and restoration functions.z Fast backup: Backs up files on the device to the destinationdevice through the USB interface.z Fast restoration: Uploads files to the local device through a USBinterface. You can specify the uploaded application file orconfiguration file as the main application or configuration file.
