Command Manual – Static RouteH3C S3100-52P Ethernet SwitchChapter 1 IP Routing TableCommands1-5Field DescriptionDescription of route state:ActiveU An active unicast route, where “U” represents unicast.Blackhole A blackhole route is similar to a reject route, but no ICMPunreachable message is sent to the source.Delete A route is to be deleted.Gateway An indirect route.HiddenAn existing route that is temporarily unavailable for somereason (for example, suppressed by a routing policy ordown interface). However, deletion is not expected. It istherefore hidden so that it can recover later.HolddownNumber of routes that are held down. Holddown is aroute advertisement policy that some D-V based routingprotocols (for example, RIP) use to avoid the spread ofwrong routes but speed up the correct spread of ICMPunreachable messages. A certain route is advertised atintervals, no matter whether the currently discoveredroute to the same destination changes. For details, referto the specific routing protocols.Int A route discovered by IGP.NoAdviseA routing protocol does not advertise any NoAdvise routewhen advertising routes in accordance with a routingpolicy.NotInstallA NotInstall route cannot be added to the core routingtable, but may be advertised. A route with the highestpriority is generally selected from the routing table, addedto the core routing table, and then advertised.RejectThe routes marked with reject do not guide the router toforward packets as a normal route does. The routerdiscards the packets matching reject routes and sendsan ICMP unreachable message to the source.Reject routes are usually used for network tests.RetainThe routes marked with retain will not be deleted whenyou delete routes in the core routing table. You can markstatic routes with retain to make them stay in the corerouting table.StaticThe routes marked with static will not be deleted fromthe routing table after you perform a save operation andrestart the router.
