Command Manual – DLDPH3C S7500 Series Ethernet Switches Chapter 1 DLDP Configuration Commands1-5ParametersInteger: Interval of sending DLDP packets, in the range of 1 seconds to 100 seconds. Itis 5 seconds by default.DescriptionUse the dldp interval command to set the interval of sending advertisement packetswhen all the DLDP-enabled ports are in the Advertisement status.Use the undo dldp interval command to restore the interval to the default value 5seconds.By default, the interval of sending advertisement packets is 5 seconds.Note that:z The interval you define is applicable to all DLDP-enabled ports.z The interval must be shorter than one-third of the STP convergence time. If toolong an interval is set, an STP loop may occur before DLDP shuts downunidirectional links. On the contrary, if too short an interval is set, network trafficincreases, and port bandwidth is reduced. Generally, the STP convergence time is30 seconds.z For the dldp interval integer command, make sure that the same interval fortransmitting advertisement packets is set on the ports used to connected bothdevices; otherwise DLDP will not operate properly.Examples# Set the interval of sending advertisement packets to 20 seconds for all theDLDP-enabled ports. system-viewSystem View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.[H3C] dldp interval 201.1.5 dldp resetSyntaxdldp resetViewSystem view, Ethernet port viewParametersNone
