First instruction into handling ofthe machine must be held by a qualifiedperson sent by your local Hako contractdealer. Your Hako dealer will be infor-med by the manufacturer upon deliveryof the vehicle and will contact you tomake a date for instruction.2.2 Initial charging procedureBefore first operation of themachine, fully charge the bat-tery with an initial charging pro-cedure and comply with theoperating instructions of thecharger as well as with those ofthe battery manufacturer.Hako cannot be held liable fordamages resulting from thefact that the initial charging hasnot or insufficiently been done.2.3 Before Taking into OperationProceed to the following inspections be-fore taking the machine into operation:1. Check parking site for signs of leaka-ge. Hoses, lines and tanks must befree from any leakage or damage.2. Open seat hood.3. Check fuel level and refill if required.4. Check engine oil level.5. Close seat hood.2.4 Start MachineBefore starting the machineyou are advised to read andcomply with the Provisions ofOperating from Safety Infor-mation chapter!Before starting the machine, subse-quently ac-tuate the following controlelements:1. Set all operating levers and switchesto neutral.2. Secure the vehicle by engaging theparking brake.3. Turn ignition key to switch on igniti-on.4. Hako-Jonas 1200 V:Actuate choke (with cold engine on-ly).Hako-Jonas 1200 D:Preheat until control lamp extinguis-hes.5. Continue turning ignition key clock-wise to start engine.- After the motor has started, the en-gine oil pressure and charge statuslamps have to extinguish.Do not use the Hako-Jonas1200 V/D at ambient tempera-tures of more than 40°C.Do not start the machine attemperatures of -15°C or less.Liquid propellant gas system:refer to LPG operating instruc-tions.Its not possible to start the ma-chine, when the acceleratorpedal is linked.If the starting procedure has tobe repeated or if the enginestops, re-starting is possibleonly after ignition has been tur-ned off.
