6 49-7826-1ENGLISHRemote Control• To ensure proper operation, aim the remote control at thesignal receiver on the air conditioner.• The remote control signal has a range of up to 20 feet.• Make sure nothing is between the air conditioner and theremote control that could block the signal.• Make sure batteries are fresh and installed correctly asindicated on the remote control.Do Not Operate in Freezing Outdoor ConditionsThis cool-only air conditioner was not designed for freezingoutdoor conditions.It must not be used when the outdoor temperature is belowfreezing (32°F).Cool ModeUse the Cool mode at Low, Med, High or Speed for cooling.Use the Temperature Increase ޔ / Decrease ޕpads toset the desired temperature between 64°F and 86°F in 1°Fincrements.An electronic thermostat is used to maintain the roomtemperature. The compressor will cycle on and off to keepthe room at the set level of comfort. Set the thermostat at alower number and the indoor air will become cooler. Set thethermostat at a higher number and the indoor air will becomewarmer.NOTE:Òé÷ëèäìõæòñçì÷ìòñèõìöòééäñçìö÷ëèñ÷øõñèçòñwhile set to a Cool setting or if turned from a fan setting toa Cool setting, it may take approximately 3 minutes for thecompressor to start and cooling to begin.Cooling DescriptionsFor Normal Cooling—Select the Cool mode andHigh or Med fan with a middle set temperature.For Maximum Cooling—Select the Cool modeand High fan with a lower set temperature.For Quieter and Nighttime Cooling—Select theCool mode and Low fan with a middle set temperature.Eco ModeControls the fan.ON—The fan will cycle on and off with the compressor. Thismay result in wider variations of room temperature andhumidity. NOTE: the fan may continue to run for a short timeor may pulse intermittently after the compressor cycles off tosample the room air.OFF—The fan runs all the time, while the compressor cycleson and off.Fan Only ModeUse the Fan Only Mode at Low, Med or High fan speed toprovide air circulation and filtering without cooling. Sincefan-only settings do not provide cooling, a Set temperaturecannot be entered. The room temperature will appear in thedisplay.Auto Fan ModeSet to Auto for the fan speed to automatically set to thespeed needed to provide optimum comfort settings with theset temperature.If the room needs more cooling, the fan speed willautomatically increase. If the room needs less cooling, the fanspeed will automatically decrease.Control Panel Lights On/Off FeatureThis air conditioner has a control panel lights on/off featurewhere its lights will turn off when there is no activity with thecontrols for over one minute. To wake up the controls, pressany pad on the controls and the lights will come on to showthe previous settings.To turn this feature off, press and hold the SLEEP pad,on the unit, for 5 seconds.
