51Setting up and connectionIR200gElectrical connectionFor safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the following in-structions must be be observed for the electrical connection:■ The device is supplied with 12V AC voltage via the mains adaptersupplied Always use the mains adapter supplied to connect thedevice to the mains supply■ Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (volt-age and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mainsadapter The data must correspond in order to avoid damage tothe device■ Protect the adapter cable from hot surfaces and sharp edges■ Make sure that the power cable is not stretched tightly or twisted■ Do not allow the adapter cable to hang over edges (danger oftripping)■ If the device is not to be used for a longer period of time, discon-nect the mains adapter from the mains supplyMains connection Insert the mains adapter plug into the DC IN socket (5) on theback of the device Insert the mains adapter into the mains socket00053196man.indb 51 23.07.13 12:48
