Operating InstructionsBEFORE FIRST USE: Please wash the cooking surfaces of the panini press asinstructed under “Cleaning.”1. Plug into 120 volt AC outlet.2. Preheat sandwich press for 6minutes. The red light comes on andremains lit as long as the paninipress is plugged into an outlet.Once the unit has reached theproper temperature, the green lightwill come on. Keep cover closed.3. When preheated, raise cover. Placefood to be cooked onto cookingsurface and lower cover to desiredheight. Lock the cover at the desiredheight by turning the locking knob, ifdesired.IMPORTANT: Exterior surfacesbecome hot during cooking!4. Unlock the cover, then use a hot mittand carefullylift cover andcheck food tosee if cookedto desireddoneness.Do not cutfood on non-stick cookingsurface. If additional cooking timeis needed, lower cover.5. When food is cooked to desireddoneness, remove the food andunplug the sandwich press. Let coolbefore cleaning.4Panini Press Tips• ALWAYS PREHEAT THEPANINI PRESS 6 MINUTESBEFORE USING.• Read the Use & Care Guide beforeusing the sandwich press.• Use vegetable cooking spray forconvenient, stick-free cooking. Or ifyou prefer, brush cooking surfaceswith vegetable oil before preheating.• Use plastic utensils on the nonstickcooking surfaces. Do not use metalutensils as they will damage the non-stick surface.• Thicker sandwiches may shift whenbeing pressed. Use a plastic spatulato reposition. Place sandwich in cen-ter of press.• Use caution when pushing down onthe handle, as unit may tip forwardand could burn your hand.• When a recipe calls for fruit, lock thecover in place above the fruit so thatit heats but does not contact thefruit.• There is no need to press down onthe handle. The weight of the coverwill grill the top of the sandwich.• Cleanup is easy! Let sandwichpress cool down.
