9Cleaning InstructionsTo maintain the performance of yourBrewStation, clean once a month.Cleaning the BrewStation removesmineral deposits that slow down brewtime and result in poor coffee taste.BrewStations used in an area with hardwater require more frequent cleaning(such as weekly).To Clean Inside of BrewStation:1. Remove water filter and water filterholder (optionalfeature).2. Plug in BrewStation and set theclock (on clock model).3. Place empty coffee tank on KeepWarm Plate.Place filter bas-ket on coffeetank. Do notadd coffee intofilter basket.4. Use any commercially-availablecoffeemakercleaner anddescaler intend-ed for homeuse. Followpackage direc-tions. After usingdescaler, rinseBrewStationcoffeemaker by brewing twice withwater only.To order a cleaner, call:1-800-851-8900 (U.S.)1-800-267-2826 (Canada)or online: hbaccessories.comNOTE: Commercially-availablebrands of descaler, includeCleanCaf™, or white vinegar.5. To turn ON, press Auto/ON/OFFbutton twicefor clock modelor once fornon-clockmodel. Thelight will glow.After 20 sec-onds turn OFF.6. Wait 20 minutes to allow thedescaler to clean. Then turn ONagain. When the brew cycle is fin-ished, turn OFF. Wait forBrewStation and water in coffeetank to cool, then empty coffeetank and rinse.7. Pour one coffee tank of cold tapwater into thereservoir. Placecoffee tank onKeep WarmPlate.8. To turn ON, press Auto/ON/OFFbutton twice forclock model oronce for non-clock model.When the brewcycle is finished,empty the cof-fee tank. AllowBrewStationand water in coffee tank to cool,then repeat this process with two ormore coffee tanks of cold water.9. Turn OFF when complete.10.
