3938CE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITYRecommendations for UsersBefore using this product, make sure that it is entirely suitable for the environment in which it is used.Operation of this instrument in residential area could cause unacceptable interferences to radio and TVequipments, requiring the operator to take all necessary steps to correct interferences.The glass bulb at the end of the electrode is sensitive to electrostatic discharges. Avoid touching this glassbulb at all time. During calibration of instruments, ESD wrist straps should be worn to avoid possible damageto the electrode by electrostatic discharge.Any variation introduced by the user to the supplied equipment may degrade the instrument's EMCperformance.To avoid electrical shock, do not use these instruments when voltages at the measurement surface exceed24 Vac or 60 Vdc.To avoid damages or burns, do not perform any measurement in microwave ovens.WARRANTYAll Hanna Instruments meters are warranted for two yearsagainst defects in workmanship and materials when used for theirintended purpose and maintained according to instructions. Theelectrodes and the probes are warranted for a period of sixmonths. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement free ofcharge.Damages due to accident, misuse, tampering or lack of prescribedmaintenance are not covered.If service is required, contact the dealer from whom you purchased theinstrument. If under warranty, report the model number, date ofpurchase, serial number and the nature of the failure. If the repairis not covered by the warranty, you will be notified of the chargesincurred. If the instrument is to be returned to Hanna Instruments,first obtain a Returned Goods Authorization number from the Cus-tomer Service department and then send it with shipping costsprepaid. When shipping any instrument, make sure it is properlypackaged for complete protection.All rights are reserved.
