Please also observe the warn-ing notices in the individual chapters.WARNINGRisk of electric shock!Touching live parts may result in severe in-jury or death.■ Only use the appliance indoors. Do notuse in wet rooms or in the rain.■ Do not operate or continue to operatethe appliance, if– it exhibits visible damage, e.g. the con-nector cable is defective or the glassceramic is cracked;■ it starts smoking or there is a smell ofburning;– it makes unusual sounds.In this case, disconnect from the mainsand contact our customer service (see„Our Customer Service“ on page GB-18).■ Keep the mains plug and cable awayfrom naked flames and hot surfaces.■ Do not kink or pinch the mains cord orlay it over sharp edges.■ If the mains cord of the appliance isdamaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer, through customer serviceor by a qualified specialist.■ Do not extend or amend the power cord.■ Never open the housing.■ Never repair a defective or suspected de-fective appliance yourself.
