Unauthorized duplica-tion of copyrighted materials is prohibited by federal law.Using Docking StationThe Bridge II is an included dock that may be used with a compatibleiPod, iPod touch or iPhone (not included). When The Bridge II is con-nected to its proprietary input on the AVR 354 and the iPod is docked,you may play the audio, video and still-image materials on your iPodthrough your high-quality audio/video system, operate the iPod usingthe AVR remote or the AVR’s front-panel controls, view navigationmessages on the AVR’s front panel or a connected video display,and charge the iPod.Either press the front-panel Source Selector repeatedly until the mes-sage “The Bridge is CONNECTED” appears in the front panel, or pressThe Bridge Source Selector on the remote.When The Bridge II is connected, the screen shown in Figure 61will appear on a video display connected to the AVR. In this case, theiPod has not been docked in The Bridge II yet.Figure 61 – The BridgePress the Menu Button to view the slide-out menu:Back: Select this option to return to the previous screen.Music: Select this line to navigate the audio materials stored onyour iPod.Photos: Select this line to view still images stored on the iPod.Videos: Select this line to play videos stored on the iPod. A screen willappear, instructing you to operate the iPod’s own controls directly to playvideos. You may use the AVR 354 remote instead of the iPod’s controlsto navigate it. Visual materials will be displayed on a videodisplay connected to the AVR.NOTE: After selecting video viewing, the AVR may remain iniPod Manual Mode, even after undocking the iPod or switchingto another source input and back again. To return to normaloperation, with the AVR remote in The Bridge mode, press andhold the Menu Button.Random: Select this setting for random playback, also known as“Shuffle Mode”. Each press of the OK Button switches the setting:shuffle by Song, shuffle by Album, or Off to end random playback.Repeat: Select this setting to repeat a track or all tracks in the currentalbum or play list. Each press of the OK Button switches the setting:repeat Off, repeat One or repeat All.NOTE: The iTunes® application allows you to set certain selections toalways be skipped in Shuffle mode. While navigating content, the first press of anAlphanumeric Key jumps to the first item beginning with the first letteron the key. Each additional press cycles through the key’s letters,jumping alphabetically through the list of content.NOTES:• The Play and Pause functions are not available unless contenthas been selected for playback by navigating the menu system.• For the Search function, press and hold the indicated button.Pressing the Previous Track Button once skips to the beginningof the current track. Press the Previous Track Buttontwice toskip to the beginning of the previous track.While a selection is playing, the song title, artist and album name, ifavailable on the iPod, will appear in the upper line in the front-panelMessage Display.
