Even though it isthe same RCA-type connector as standard ana-log audio connections, DO NOT connect it to aconventional analog input jack.£ Analog Audio Outputs: Connect thesejacks to an audio input on an A/V receiver orsurround processor for analog audio playback.¢ Composite Video Output: Connect thisjack to the video input on a television or videoprojector, or to a video input on an A/V receiveror processor if you are using that type of devicefor video input switching.∞ S-Video Output: Connect this jack to theS-Video input on a television or video projector,or to an S-Video input on an A/V receiver orprocessor if you are using that type of device forS-Video input switching.§ SCART IN (AUX): If an external playbackunit has a SCART socket, you can connect aSCART cable to it and to your DVD Player. TheSCART cable carries both audio and video sig-nals of the external unit. These signals will berouted through the SCART connector of the DVDto the TV automatically when the DVD player isturned off (in Standby) and the external unitplays.¶ SCART OUT (TV): If your TV has a SCARTsocket, you can connect a SCART cable to yourTV and to your DVD Player for improved videoquality. The SCART cable carries both audio andvideo. You can select Video (composite),S-Video and RGB video for that SCARTconnector’s video output signal (see page 19).Your DVD 20 is equipped with two SCART con-nectors, one for direct connection to the TV, thesecond for throughput of VCR (playback only) orany other playback video source to a TV withonly one SCART input.• Remote Control Output: Connect thisjack to the infrared (IR) input jack of anothercompatible Harman Kardon remote controlledproduct to have the built-in Remote Sensor onthe DVD 20 provide IR signals to other compati-ble products.ª Remote Control Input: Connect the out-put of a remote infrared sensor, or the remotecontrol output of another compatible HarmanKardon product, to this jack. This will enable theremote control to operate even when the frontpanel Remote Sensor on the DVD 20 isblocked. This jack may also be used with com-patible IR remote control-based automation sys-tems.‚ AC Power Cord: Connect this plug to anAC outlet.
