CD PLAYBACK 27CD PlaybackRepeat PlayWith CDs the DVD 21 offers three repeatfunctions that allow you to take advantage ofthe capacity of the unit for unattended playback: Repeat Disc: Plays the complete discrepeatedly from start to finish until the disc ismanually stopped. When that mode isselected, REPEAT ALL will appear in the frontpanel display. Repeat Track: Repeats the CD trackcurrently being played until the disc ismanually stopped. When that mode isselected, REPEAT 1 will light up in the frontpanel display above the TRACK indicator. Repeat A-B: Repeats any selected portion ofthe disc until the disc is manually stopped.To select any repeat mode, follow this way:1. While a disc is playing, press REPEAT on theremote, the Repeat Display appears, showingthe repeat mode currently activated.2. Access the Repeat modes and theirappropriate menus in the following order bypressing REPEAT on the remote repeatedlyuntil the desired function is displayed.REPEAT TRACK ➜ REPEAT DISC ➜ REPEATOFF3. To make the menu disappear from the screen,press CLEAR on the remote or wait a fewseconds. To cancel any Repeat Play function and tocontinue with normal play, press the RepeatButton until the Repeat Off menu appears inthe on-screen display or the REPEAT Indicatorin the Front Information Display goes out. Repeat Play may be stopped and canceled bypressing the Stop Button twice. With CD, all repeat modes are available alsowith Program play (see page 28). If Repeat Allis selected with Program play, the completeprogram will be repeated rather than the disc.A-B Repeat PlayThe Repeat A-B function allows you to select anyportion of a CD and have it repeat continuallyuntil the unit is manually stopped.To initiate a Repeat A-B playback sequence,follow these steps while a disc is playing:1. While a disc is playing, press A-B on theremote when you want to choose a scene asthe beginning point, the Repeat A- Displayappears and REPEAT A - is indicated in thefront panel display.2. Press A-B again to choose a scene as the endpoint, REPEAT A - B will appear on the screenand the front panel display. Repeat A-B is setand the A-B section will be playedcontinuously.3. Press A-B on the remote again so that theREPEAT A-B indicators delete and REPEATOFF appears on the screen to cancel repeatA-B mode and to play on in normal mode.4. To make the menu disappear from the screen,press CLEAR on the remote or wait a fewseconds.Note: The A-B Repeat range may cover severaltracks on the CD.Random PlayThe Random Play function will play all of thetracks on a CD in a random order as selected bythe DVD 21. Once the disc has played all of thetracks, it will stop.While the disc is in STOP, RESUME or PLAYmode, press RANDOM on the remote. TheRandom indicator lights in the front paneldisplay and all tracks on the disc will be playedin random order.Note: RANDOM can be canceled when theDVD player is in Play mode by pressingRANDOM; the player will continue to playnormally. Note that Random cannot be canceledduring Resume mode by pressing RANDOMagain, this should be done during play.RANDOM will also be canceled when you returnto Stop mode by pressing STOP twice.
