OPTIONAL DIGITALCONNECTIONThe HD710 also has a digital output jack— a single electrical RCA-type connector.If your preamplifier has a digital-to-analogdecoder and can accept a digital signalfrom a compact disc player, you canconnect your CD player to your preampli-fier using this digital jack.1. CONNECTION CORDSOn the back of your HD710 are outputjacks that connect your CD player to yourreceiver, integrated amplifier, or preampli-fier. Using the supplied shielded cords,connect the left and right output jacks onthe back of the CD player to the left andright input jacks marked CD or AUX on theback of your receiver/preamplifier/integrated amplifier. Alternatively, you canalso use the TAPE INPUT or TAPE PLAYjacks on your receiver/preamplifier/integrated amplifier.Please note that using the digital outputwill bypass the internal D/A conversioncircuitry and therefore miss one of themajor benefits of this machine.
