4 MOUNTING OPTIONSMOUNTING OPTIONSThey may be wall-mounted using thesupplied brackets.Wall-MountingUnscrew the bolt that attaches the blackshelf stand to the bottom of the speaker.Store the stand and bolt in a safe placein case they are needed for a futureinstallation.Mount the wall-bracket attachmentplate on the wall inthe desired location. If possible, positionthe speakers so that the mounting screws(not included; use size #8) may beinstalled directly into a wooden wall stud.If that is not possible, use optional wallanchors that are rated to support at leasttwenty-five pounds. The customer isresponsible for proper selection and useof mounting hardware, available throughhardware stores, to properly and safelywall-mount the speakers.Referring to the speaker connection instruc-tions on page 5, thread the appropriatespeaker cable through the opening in thebottom of the attachment plate, and thenthrough the back of the bracket as shown inthe diagram. The bracket has two openingson top: a round screw hole, and an arc-shaped opening in front of it. The speakercable should be threaded through thearc-shaped opening, not the screw hole.Attach the bracket to the wall plate by insert-ing the tab at the top of the attachment plateinto the slot on top of the bracket and snap-ping the bracket onto the attachment plate.Thread the cable through the round openingin the terminal cover, and then insert thespeaker wires into the terminals on theunderside of the speaker, remembering toobserve the correct polarity (see page 5).Place the terminal cover over the openingon the underside of the speaker so that it fitsflush against the speaker and covers the ter-minals, with its round opening exposing thethreaded insert. The bracket fits through theround opening in the terminal cover.Insert the supplied bracket bolt up throughthe bottom of the bracket and terminalcover, and screw it into the threaded inserton the underside of the speaker. The boltshould be snug, but not so tight as toprevent the bracket from pivoting. The wall-mounted speaker may be pivotedfrom side to side; however, the bracket isnot designed to tilt up or down, andattempting to tilt it will damage the bracketand possibly the wall, which would not becovered by your warranty. The satellite speakers maybe placed on a shelf.RemoveStand15mmor 1/2"Wires to SpeakerTerminal CoverOverheadViewWireFromWallPlateWall23mmor 3/4"(M6–1.25Por 1/4"–20)Wall BracketWall Plate
