Two USB On-The-Go inputs areavailable, one on the right side of the productand one on the rear panel.Connect your USB thumb drive or portable harddisk, to either of the side or rear panel USBInputs 3. If you have more than twodevices that you would like to connect at thesame time, you can use a standard USB-hubwith an external power supply, to which you canconnect up to 16 portable USB devices.1. Press the USB 1 or USB 2 0 buttons on theremote control to turn the DVD Receiver on.Also make sure that your video monitor con-nected to the HS 150 is switched on.2. The TV monitor will show the below screen,allowing you to select which of the file typesavailable on the device you would like to dis-play and play. Showing different file types atthe same time like MP3 and JPEG is possible.3. Move the cursor to the buttons on the lowerleft side of the screen, and press ENTER toselect or deselect the requested file types.In case several USB devices are connected, allwill be shown in the same USB Menu.To differentiate the drives, they will be shown as1 and 2. USB drives can have more than onepartition. If that is the case, the differentpartitions will be shown as 1a, 1b, 1c etc.The USB Menu contains the following settings orindications. Follow the explanations in the UpperMenu Line on the bottom of your screen tochange the settings.Disc: Shows the type of the disc.Audio: Shows the audio track that is currentlyplaying. Options are shown on both menu lineson the bottom of the screen.Playlist: Sets the order in which the current discis played back.Repeat: Sets the repeat mode.(Repeat 1, Repeat Folder).Random: Activates Random Playback whenpossible.Picture: Selects the interval between thecurrent picture on the screen and the next one.In the USB Menu, the chapter, track or picturecurrently playing will be marked with an arrowsymbol in front of the Track (MP3, WMA) orPicture (JPEG). Tracks and pictures can beselected from this list at any time by moving thecursor to the desired track or file and pressingENTER 6 to confirm.The top part of this screen can be de-activatedto show the complete Track list on the screen. Tode-activate, move the cursor to the upper INFO(or i INFO) Submenu on the left side of thescreen. Press ENTER 6 until the icon ishighlighted in light blue and the full Track list isvisible on the screen. In the same way the Disclist can be removed from the screen bydeactivating the PROGRAM Submenu.When the HS 150 is in play mode, pressing thePLAY button on the remote control will highlightthe track being played.If you have a USB device that contains bothmusic files (MP3, WMA) and JPEG images, youcan choose to run these simultaneously, mixingthe MP3 or WMA audio with your own images.The time interval can be chosen in the PictureSetting.With such devices, you can also either listen tothe MP3 or WMA audio or watch the JPEG videofiles only. In order to do so, click in stop modeon the MUSIC, PICTURE or MOVIE icons on theleft part of the screen to select or deselect thedesired format.NOTE: The HS 150 will not play back any of theformats SVCD/VCD, MPEG1 (Video), MPEG2(Video) and audio CD tracks (CDDA) stored onan external USB hard drive.• You will need a FAT32 pre-formatted externalhard disk drive with USB connector. If your diskis formatted with another file system (like NTFS)you will need to re-format it. Please contact yourhard disk supplier for more information.• We recommend creating folders and sort thefiles by file type (movies, pictures or music).This will allow you to quickly find the file you’relooking for.The DIGITAL IN Menu contains the followingsettings. Follow the explanations in the UpperMenu Line on the bottom of your screen tochange the settings.Digital Input: Selects either the digital sourceconnected to the coaxial or to the optical digitalinput as source to listen to.Audio: Selects the Surround Mode you wouldlike to use when listening to one of the digitalaudio sources.Level adjustment: This setting gives you thepossibility to increase or decrease the input levelof the digital input, so that its sound will havethe same level as the radio, the DVD player orthe other audio inputs.Surround Mode ChartDolby Digital: Available only with digital inputsources encoded with Dolby Digital data. Itprovides up to five separate main audiochannels and a special dedicated Low FrequencyEffects channel.Dolby Digital signals will be down-mixed to2-channel Stereo or processed to Dolby VirtualSpeaker in order to be played back over the2.1 loudspeaker system.DTS: Available only with digital input sourcesencoded with DTS data. Available on specialDVD, LD and audio-only discs, DTS provides upto five separate main audio channels and aspecial dedicated low frequency channel.DTS signals will be down-mixed to 2-channelStereo or processed to Dolby Virtual Speaker inorder to be played back over the 2.1 loud-speaker system.Dolby Virtual Speaker: This technology uses anext-generation advanced algorithm to repro-duce the dynamics and surround sound effectsof a precisely placed 5.1-channel speaker systemusing only front left and right speakers. In theReference Mode, the apparent width of thesound across the front image is defined by thedistance between the two speakers. The WideMode provides a wider, more spacious frontimage when the two speakers are closetogether.
