28 Preliminary Configuration of the NSG CHAPTER 2Using HotkeysThe hotkeys are a combination of up to three keys pressedsimultaneously. The following table lists the available hotkeys anddescribes their functionality:Control Panel Operation ModesThe control panel provides the user with two different access modes soas to impede unauthorized access:Monitor - the default mode that allows you to only view the configurationin the NSG.Configure - allows you to edit various parameters and to apply thechanges. After thirty minutes of inactivity in this mode, the systemswitches automatically to Monitor mode. The Configure mode iscontrolled by a password to allow authorized users only to change theNSG settings. To obtain a password, refer to the document enclosed withthe NSG unit.Hotkey Explanation Moves you to the Network Config screen.Press keys for 5 secondsat leastResets the unit. Adjusts the contrast of the display area.Press keys for 3 secondsat leastMoves to the Change Op Mode screen. While editing, clears the entry field and movescursor to the bottom left. While editing, operates as a backspace. While editing, deletes entries.
