7WarningAll of the basic criteria must be satisfiedprior to commencing installation andcommissioning, additionally, the CabinetHeater must be positioned and installed soas to comply with all the relevant standardsand guide lines (see section 9.0), as well asmeeting National and Local Fire Regulationsand Insurance criteria, especially if it isproposed that the heater is to be installedwithin a special risk area (e.g. proximity towhere petrol engined vehicles are stored orparked, where cellulose spraying takesplace, where woodworking machinery isoperated, etc,).Indirect fired heaters must not be located inhazardous areas, however, it is permissiblefor the heater to supply air to such areas. The heater must not be installed within anenvironment where there is a highconcentration of chlorides, fluorides, salts, orother aggressive or volatile chemicals/compounds. Nor should the heater bepositioned where high winds or draughtscould adversely affect the burner. The location chosen for the heater mustallow for the fitting of an effective fluesystem. The location must also allow for adequateclearance for the air supply, return aircirculation, oil supply, electrical supply, whilst also providing good and safe workingaccess. The heater must be installed on a flat andlevel surface made from non-combustiblematerial, which is sufficiently robust towithstand the weight of the heater and anyancillary equipment. Any combustiblematerial adjacent to the heater or fluesystem must be so placed or shielded sothat its surface temperature does notexceed 65 ° C.In areas where it is proposed that more thanone heater is to be installed, a generalscheme of circulation should be drawn upand maintained, thereby offering the bestheat distribution. All Harry Taylor Heaters are fitted with apressure relief facility, this is incorporatedinto the design of the flue gas exit duct.Care should therefore be taken in sitingservice connections and controls well awayfrom the pressure relief vent.WarningUnder no circumstances must the pressurerelief be restricted, blocked, or have the freeexit of exhaust gas impaired or re-directed.2.1 Fuel supply - generalThe Harry Taylor range of oil fired cabinetheaters are all manufactured and pre-set foruse with 35 second gas oil delivered to theburner via a suitable piped system from theoil storage tank.Galvanised or plastic pipe work andfittings must not be used. (see BS 5410Part 1 1997)The constraints of the application will, to alarge extent, determine whether it ispreferable to use a single pipe gravity feedsystem, or whether the two pipe pumpedsystem is more appropriate.Where more than one appliance is to sharea common supply it will be necessary to usea pressurised ring main system. All pipe work must be constructed andinstalled so that it does not permit theingress of air.The construction, size, and position of the oilstorage tank must take account of thecurrent regulations, as well as suiting therequirements of the installation. Please refer to figures 2 - 8 for additionalinformation.CautionOn pumped systems always check that thepump is correctly set up prior to running, andalways ensure that valves are open allowinga free flow of oil through the system.2.0 Location/positioning
