More clearance willtypically be required to accommodate associated water and gas piping.eXHaust Venting and air intaKeIt is important to carefully plan the installation to ensure the appropriatevent materials, travel and termination decisions are incorporated. Specificattention is warranted to manage the impact of the steam plume normallyexperienced at the exhaust terminal of a condensing boiler. Generally, intake and exhaust pipes should terminate at a rooftop or sterile walllocation, to maximize customer satisfaction. Keep exhaust plumeswell away from all building air intakes including those of neighbouringproperties.WARNINGExposed water piping andassociated components(relief valves, circulators, etc.)should not be in contact withcombustible materials. Checklocal codes for requiredclearances and/or provideadequate insulation.1.4DANGERDo not common vent the SLmodulating series boilerswith any other existing or newappliance.WARNINGDO NOT MOUNT THISBOILER TO HOLLOWWALL STRUCTURES - Thecombined weight of theboiler, its water contentsand associated pipingcomponents can exceed 150pounds. Fasteners must berated for this strain, and mustbe firmly anchored into solidmaterial that will support thisweight.Installers are to take allnecessary precautionsto avoid injury during theinstallation of this boiler.Figure 2: Wall mounting of boiler
