IBCsupplied air intake filters have a known pressure drop and fouling factor andshould be used as a component of the combustion air system according to theallowable intake length in Table 4.1.4.10 Closet InstallationsFor installations in a confined space (such as a closet), ventilation openings maybe needed through a door or wall to prevent excessive heat from building upinside the space.the boiler shall not be exposed to ambient conditions above 122°F (50°C) orbelow 32°F (0°C).NOTECombustion fanblockages can occur whenenvironmental particulate andforeign matter contaminants(leaves, dust, dandelion &cottonwood fluff, etc) aredrawn into the air intake. Inareas where this problem issuspected to be an issue, our optional air intake filtershould be installed.Filters should be checkedand cleaned or replaced ona regular schedule based onthe severity of the problem.Figure 13: Direct vent - intake, exhaust and condensate removal system with optional airintake filter (filtration may also be used on indoor air applications as required)Figure 12: Optional air intake filterIBC Part #103 - Filter element aloneis IBC Part #104
