You can install removable-media drives only in bays 1 and 2.v The electromagnetic interference (EMI) integrity and cooling of the server areprotected by having all bays and PCI slots covered or occupied. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”on page 163.2. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices; then, disconnect the powercords and all external cables.3. Remove the bezel (see “Removing the bezel” on page 169).4. Carefully turn the server on its side so that it is lying flat, with the cover facingup.Attention: Do not allow the server to fall over.5. Remove the side cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 166).6. Disconnect the power cable and then the signal cables from the drive that is tobe removed.7. Stand the server back up in its vertical position.8.
