Lift the server cover off the server and set the server cover aside.Attention: For proper cooling and airflow, replace the server cover before youturn on the server.Removing air bafflesThere are two air baffles inside the server. These air baffles direct air to coolcomponents inside the server. You might have to remove these baffles to accesscertain components or connectors on the system board such as DIMMS, IDEcables, or microprocessors.To remove an air baffle, complete the following steps:1. Read the safety information that begins on page v and “Installation guidelines”on page 9.2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords andall external cables, if necessary; then, remove the server cover.3.
