TANK-GM45 Embedded SystemPage 89B.1.2 Anti-static PrecautionsWARNING:Failure to take ESD precautions during the installation of theTANK-GM45 may result in permanent damage to the TANK-GM45 andsevere injury to the user.Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause serious damage to electronic components, including the TANK-GM45. Dry climates are especially susceptible to ESD. It is thereforecritical that whenever the TANK-GM45 is opened and any of the electrical components arehandled, the following anti-static precautions are strictly adhered to. Wear an anti-static wristband: Wearing a simple anti-static wristband canhelp to prevent ESD from damaging any electrical component. Self-grounding: Before handling any electrical component, touch anygrounded conducting material. During the time the electrical component ishandled, frequently touch any conducting materials that are connected to theground. Use an anti-static pad: When configuring or working with an electricalcomponent, place it on an antic-static pad. This reduces the possibility of ESDdamage. Only handle the edges of the electrical component: When handling theelectrical component, hold the electrical component by its edges.B.2 Maintenance and Cleaning PrecautionsWhen maintaining or cleaning the TANK-GM45, please follow the guidelines below.B.2.1 Maintenance and CleaningPrior to cleaning any part or component of the TANK-GM45, please read the detailsbelow.
