Setting a squelch levelThe transceiver has a noise squelch circuit to mute undesirednoise while receiving no signal.q Push [SQL•WX-ALERT ], then rotate [DIAL] to select thesquelch level.• ‘SQL--0’ is loose squelch and ‘SQL--24’ is tight squelch.• Appears “ ” while the squelch is open.w Push [SQL•WX-ALERT ] or [CLR•DEL ] to exit the squelchset mode.
