213 BASIC OPERATION■ Emergency CallWhen [Emergency] is pushed for the specified time period*, theemergency signal is transmitted once, or repeatedly, on the speci-fied emergency channel.A repeat emergency signal is automatically transmitted until thetransceiver receives an acknowledgement signal, or you turn thetransceiver power OFF.When no emergency channel is specified, the signal is transmittedon the previously selected channel.If you want to cancel the emergency call, push and hold [Emer-gency] again before transmitting the call.If your transceiver is programmed for Silent operation, you cantransmit an Emergency call without the beep sounding and the LEDindicator lighting.IMPORTANT: It is recommended to set an emergency channelindividually to provide the certain emergency call operation.D NOTESDepending on the presetting, the following functions are automati-cally activated.
