Remove the control box fixing screw.56 OVERHEAT THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENTSERVICING54 GENERALWhen replacing any component:1. Isolate the electricity supply.2. Turn OFF the gas supply.3. Remove the boiler casing. Refer to Frame 48.IMPORTANT. When work is complete the casing mustbe correctly refitted, ensuring that a good seal is made.2. Pull the box forward anddownward to disengage.3. To remove the overheatthermostat pull off theelectrical connections atthe thermostat. Removethe backnut retaining thethermostat to the bracket.Remove the thermostatfrom the heat exchangerpocket.4. Re-assemble in reverseorder.53 GAS PRESSURE ADJUSTMENTNote. Standard model illustrated. For the deluxe model (LX) slidethe glass fascia out before removing the sightglass assembly.Refit the glass fascia after refitting the new sightglass assembly.PILOTThe pilot is factory set to maximum and no furtheradjustment is possible. If, after removing and checking theinjector (as detailed in Frame 58) and ensuring that there isan inlet pressure of 20 mbar available, the pilot does notlight then contact Caradon Plumbing Limited.Relight in accordance with 'Initial Lighting', Frame 43.SERVICINGNote. In order to assist fault finding, the control box printedcircuit board is fitted with 2 indicator lights which represent thefollowing boiler conditions:Neon I3. Mains electricity ON.Neon SG1. Flashes to indicate ignition operation (stops afterdetection).The boiler MUST NOT be operated if the casing is not fitted.55 SIGHTGLASS REPLACEMENT1. Refer to Frame 54.2. Unfasten the 2 nuts and washers holding the sightglassassembly to the casing front panel.3. When fixing the new assembly ensure that the parts are inthe correct order. The frame must have the return edge atthe bottom.4. Retighten the 2 nuts to ensure an airtight seal. Do NOTovertighten.6. Replace the boiler casing. Refer to Frame 52.
