6 Classic LXFF, FF - InstallationGENERALThis appliance in NOT suitable for use in a directhot water system or for gravity circulation.FF 270, FF 280 & FF2 100 ONLYmust be fitted with the 22mm x 28mm copper sockets,provided in the Hardware Pack, (or equivalent 22mm x28mm compression fittings ) and the pumped flow andreturn pipes run in 28mm pipe.1 BOILER WATER CONNECTIONSThe following minimum clearancesmust be maintained for operation andservicing.Additional space will be required forinstallation, depending upon siteconditions.Side and Rear Fluea. Provided that the flue hole is cutaccurately, e.g. with a core drill, theflue can be installed from inside thebuilding.Installation from inside ONLYb. If a core boring tool is to be usedinside the building; the space inwhich the boiler is to be installedmust be at least wide enough toaccommodate the tool.c. If using the Complete SealedSystem Unit then refer to theinstructions packed with the unit forthe necessary clearances.Pelmet restrictions.If the ability to fit or remove thecasing during installation andsubsequent servicing is impairedby pelmets etc. this operation canbe made easier by first removingthe controls pod casing in line withthe following instructions:a. Release the controls podcasing fixing screws (a) 3 fullturns only. Remove the pod bypulling it forward to disengagefrom the keyhole slots.b. Undo the 2 screws (b)retaining casing to the backpanel.c. The casing can now beremoved in the direction of thearrow, first lifting the casingslightly to disengage thecasing top return from theback panel. (For this purposea minimum clearance of 12mmis required between the top ofthe boiler and pelmet or othersimilar obstruction.Front clearance: 450mm (17 3/4")from the front of the boiler casing.Minimum front clearance whenbuilt in to cupboard is 75 mm (3").2 BOILER CLEARANCES
