27Classic RS - Installation & ServicingSERVICING1. Refer to Frame 36.2. Remove the old seal from the casing surroundand thoroughly clean the casing surfaces3. Fit the new adhesive seals.4. Replace the boiler casing.48 CASING SEAL REPLACEMENT49 PROGRAMMER REPLACEMENT (if fitted)1. Refer to Frame 36.2. Remove the fixing screws and swingthe control box down into theservicing position.3. Pull off the terminal connections fromback of the programmer.4. Compress the lugs at each side ofthe programmer and withdraw it fromthe control panel.5. Fit the new programmer in reverseorder.6. Set the programmer to the desiredprogramme and check the operationof the boiler.ProgrammerCla 216347 HEAT EXCHANGER REPLACEMENTNote.Refer to Frame 3 (Boiler Assembly - Explodedview) for illustration of the procedure detailed below.7. Remove the thermostat sensors from the pockets on theheat exchanger by removing the M3 screws and plates.8. Slacken 3 turns only the 4 heat exchanger / inter-panelretaining screws.9. Lift the heat exchanger / inter-panel assembly upward andforward to disengage key hole fixings. Pull the assemblydownward to clear the water pipes from the back panel.10. Remove the 2 rubber sealing grommets from the top of theback panel to facilitate fitting the new assembly.11. Fit the new heat exchanger assembly, complete with waterpipes, and hang it on the key hole slots and screws.Retighten the screws.12. Replace the 2 rubber sealing grommets.13. Reassemble in reverse order.14. Remake all water connections, ensuring that thecompression fittings (if used) are correctly refitted.15. Fully test all functions, including water and gas soundness.1. Refer to Frame 36.2. Remove the burner / air box assembly. Refer to Frame43.3. Drain the system.4. Disconnect the water connections. If compressionfittings are used then cut the pipes both above andbelow the fittings in order to allow the heat exchangerassembly to be removed. Remove the heat exchangerdrain plug and drain the residual water into a suitablereceptacle.5. Remove the collector hood assembly. Refer to Frame 36. Remove the combustion chamber by unscrewing the 4tie rods and removing the detection electrode. Refer toFrame 42.Sealcla 6036SERVICING
